Press Release from Nirj Deva DL MEP 14th September 2006 Letter to the Editor: Eurostar Services Sir, I was mortified to learn of Eurostar’s decision to abolish services to Brussels and Lille and to radically reduce services to Paris from Ashford International station. Whilst I welcome the new terminal at Ebbsfleet and the benefits it will bring to the north of the country one can only conclude that the south and east of the county will be greatly disadvantaged by the decision. To this end, I have written to the Chief Executive of Eurostar urging him to reconsider his decision and maintain, even at a reduced rate, the Ashford to Brussels service.
